John Ruth, you got a way with words! All's I know is that Katie Taylor has got a bigger bounty on her head for robbery, than Daisy Domergue. Amanda Serrano or Mikaela Mayer best of learned not to fight Katie in the UK will a all British panel of judges ; especially if it includes that crook Victor Loughlin who had Taylor beating Delfine Persoon 98-93.

Fight of the year candidate?
I saw more technical skill seeing my cat fight a tennis ball the other day.

FOTY?
Female boxing is dogs*** and my belief was enforced after Saturday night. Taylor gassed after two rounds and barely did anything and her opponent had the worst punching technique I've ever seen.
I've honestly seen more higher quality fights on StreetBeefs, and it annoys me that this rubbish is being shown on major cards instead of superior male talent.

Good fight. Styles made it interesting despite persoon’s lack of natural talent. She has my respect though, caning a full time job as a police inspector w/out the marketing machine of match room behind her
We’ve all seen men’s fights turn out to be utter tripe but what I haven’t witnessed is anyone using it as an excuse to delegitimise men’s boxing.
Katie Taylor alone is a more technical boxer than most of the mediocre individuals that most posters on here **** on about, though I make special exceptions for fans of loma, fury, usyk, Crawford, Spence, Canelo, Pacquiao, Luis Ortiz, Inoue, etc, etc (anyone I’ve missed?)
For example, in what universe can fans of deontay wilder honestly criticise women’s boxing for being of a poor standard? Have you actually seen this guy fight?! F*** me...

Persoon is a tough ass girl to fight, she just keeps coming & coming & coming. She fights mean. I thought she won the first fight but the rematch 100% belonged to Taylor. I've always felt that Taylor isn't great against pressure fighters, the problem with Persoon is that it wasn't educated pressure. She was basically just following Katie around the ring instead of making Katie go where she wanted her to go. A lot of it was kinda reckless & too wild. I don't think she quite had the intensity of the first fight either - I know she suffered a surprise loss in Olympic qualification recently too... maybe age caught up with her? Katie made her miss a lot & was able to get her counters in - I thought it was pretty clear.
Educated pressure is the blueprint to beating Taylor though, you can make her uncomfortable. If she isn't having things her own way then she loses her head - she ain't used to it. Get her out of her rhythm. I lost a split decision to Jasmine Clarkson who went on to fight Taylor a while later after she turned pro and I always think I wish I had that opportunity cus I think I could've done some things but hey, that's how life goes sometimes.

Great read! So true. Unlike other sports I can view men and women boxing as equal. I look forward to a womens match as much as any if the matchup is right. Hope more women get serious about the sport. The more compitition the better. Total respect to all warriors out there!
