Dillian Whyte has been knocked down 3 times in his last 5 fights

He was a knockout waiting to happen.

Every top 20 boxer had a chance to catch him and put him away because of his poor fundamentals.

He’ll probably get knocked unconscious again in the rematch and then in his “comeback” fight before retiring.

Anyone can get dropped but I think the most telling thing about Whyte is that he never comfortably beat any of his decent opponents. He was always either on the floor or in life and death fights before landing a shot.

People talked a lot about his run of wins, which I give him credit for, but he was never really showing he was a level above the likes of Chisora, Parker etc even in victory

So even before the Povetkin fight, I was saying that we’ve probably seen his true level.

He is what he is, a decent world level fringe contender that can win fights around that level but never truly going to trouble the top guys. That’s not a knock on him, it’s still a great level to reach.

Yes, I've seen him rocked in all those fights. There has been a gradual softening of his chin. I've seen the same thing happen to Chisora after Haye knocked him cold, and I believe I see it with Porter since Broner put him down. The same thing happened to Kovalev and Chocolatito. Whyte showed his whole game plan to Povetkin in that first fight, and I believe if Povetkin comes back in shape, the result will be similar. Immediate rematch favours Povetkin

And Wilder will still be terrified of him.

Who in the top10 hasn’t been knocked down in their last five fights? Not many, if any.
