That really sucks for Dillian Whyte. He was denied the title shot he deserved for more than 2 years and was always trying to stay active. He fought all the top guys in the division except the champions while being a mandatory, which is a crazy risk he has been taking and I was a fan of what he was doing, he didn't sit on the side and wait and complain and get fat, he kept fighting the best guys available and improved a great deal as a result.

The plan backfired horribly though but this is boxing, you slip up for a second and it's over but i think he's still a real live dog in the rematch which should happen sooner than later. Any other fight/career path would kill the momentum he's been building for years and will lead to him having to face even more hurdles to get a title shot.

I think Hearn did this on purpose knowing that Whyte would eventually lose. If he won today, he would be a bigger thorn in the side for Hearn and the WBC. Now that he's lost he has to take time to come back and during that time we should see Joshua fight the winner of Wilder vs Fury 2. My gut tells me it will not go as planned. A curve ball will be thrown and Whyte will end up fighting for a belt sooner than we think

Anything is possible with E.H. He can bring Whyte back a lot cheaper now, even for a title shot. That's not such a bad deal for Eddy. Whyte just got a lot easier to sell. Whyte might even get paid more than Povetkin in the rematch the way Eddy does it.

I hope team POV middle fingers the rematch.

I mean what are they gonna do? Strip him of the diamante belt if he doesn't...lol

Parker never got no rematch with Whyte and he was far more deserving given the dubious result of their fight.

Glad he lost he screwed all his trainers and the mothers of his children. He don't help nobody apart from himself he has no chin. 4 months of training and still fat. He is gonna end up slurring his words.

Exactly 100% Parker was robbed by the ref regarding the head but and Whyte was gone by the time the final belt arrived. Parker deserves the rematch and in my books wins that one.

Hearn never mention Usyk, who is Joshua's WBO mandatory straight after Pulev.

Yeah, I'm no fan of whytes as I'm convinced he's a drug cheat, and his continual ranting and whining is irritating but . . . you make good points about how he has continually fought decent opponents over the last few years. Thanks.
