Fury doesn't get better by Whyte losing. Nor does Wilder.

In fact, I thought Whyte showed that he's a top fighter. He was dominant early against a very good fighter. Showed plenty.

Unfortunately for him, Povetkin also showed that he can find a punch. And what a punch it was.

Whyte deserves respect for putting his mandatory on the line and by fighting solid competition. Could have fought Wallin or a scrub.

Not really Povetkin, 40 years old obviously over the hill, still too much for a joke like Whyte, AJ wiped the floor with Whyte. Meaning Whyte belongs with the Chisoras of the world. Mediocre, irrelevant HWs. Big mouths but no real accomplishments. He can make a decent living fighting other mediocre guys but a threat to Fury? Not one bit.
