Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Daniel Dubois Will Outbox, Stop Dillian Whyte

Frank Warren, promoter for undefeated rising heavyweight Daniel Dubois, has fired back at WBC-interim champion Dillian Whyte. Warren has called on Whyte to face Dubois next. Whyte returns on Saturday night at Matchroom's Fight Camp, when he faces former WBA champion Alexander Povetkin in a high stakes fight.

Again, I like DDD, but at this moment Whyte is too much for him. There are levels in boxing. DDD best win is Gorman on Uk level. Not ready for Whyte at all.

If DDD beats Joyce, he should still be fed by some gatekeepers before moving to the highest level.

Warren still trying to stay relevant

DDD’s biggest win is against Gorman

I can't see Dubois outboxing Whyte. Dubois hasn't revealed anything world-class in terms of boxing, other dimensions to his game or a varied arsenal. He's a great puncher though and has a puncher's chance at best right now.

I like this myth that Frank Warren had created about Dubois. At the end of the day his best win is Gorman(also unproven) and he couldn’t stop Kevin Johnson.

He may have had some impressive stoppages but against people no one had even heard of!

Still has some boxes he needs too tick but he's obviously a better boxer than Whyte. I'd certainly favour him.

This is exactly how narratives work. Put this fight out there, keep repeating it and saying that it should happen, and then put it into people minds that maybe it should happen. When in reality, it will NEVER happen. Warren wants to get Whyte out of the way so that Fury doesn't have to fight him in the mandatory fight. If he can get Whyte to fight someone else, then Fury can go straight into the AJ payday fight. That's all he is doing by bringing up thos fight that Whyte will never take. And by the looks of it, a lot of you are taking the bait.
