Comments Thread For: Plenty Riding on Dillian Whyte vs. Alexander Povetkin

By Tris Dixon - It's been more than 1,000 days that Dillian Whyte has sat atop of the WBC's ratings. If he gets beyond Alexander Povetkin this Saturday, he is due to fight the winner of the third contest between WBC champion Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. Understandably, Whyte remains skeptical, firmly in the believe it when he sees it' school of thought having waited so long for his chance...

I'm starting to believe he'll never fight for WBC title.

He already proved he's too scared fight for the other 3 titles. Why would he take on a champion for only 1 title?

He'll never get a better deal than the aj offer, when his own promoter was arranging the fight. So I doubt he ever plucks up the courage to fight for a title.

Maybe bcs he was paying fees to WBC, not other orgs.?
Maybe bcs he's one of those naive people who still believe that WBC strap is the "most coveted"?

Is that good enough for you? Ofc not!

I just love the whyte fan boys trying to justify him running from world title fight.

Those excuses are truly pathetic and make you look foolish. They don't even make sense.

Unlike you, I'm no one's "fan".
I already know nothing makes sense to you.
Now go away and try to waste someone else's time.

He has already been beaten by Joshua so perhaps he thinks he can't beat him a second time. For that reason he tries to pick up Wilders title in the hopes Eddie will buy it from him ala Charles Martin.

“It’s been more than 1,000 days that Dillian Whyte has sat atop of the WBC’s ratings.” It would’ve been A lot less if Whyte would’ve participated in ordered wbc final eliminators instead of ducking them

Not sure who is advising him.
Not sure what he or those around him are trying to prove.
Why endanger the chance of a guaranteed $hot at a belt by taking on a fight against a dangerous foe!!
What is the though process here?!?!
The (prize) fight game is a business first!!!

                    Wake up Dillian.
Will be rooting for him though while i want the best man to win.
