          Murray was robbed by Martinez. Murray then robbed Sergey Khomitsky. Khomitsky was then beaten by Alfonso Blanco. Blanco was then beaten by Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam. And finally Ryota Murata beat N'Jikam for the lineal crown.

          It's a bit more complicated than this though because arguably Nick Blackwell was robbed by Khomitsky before Blanco beat him. Long story short, this would make Billy Joe Saunders the current lineal champion.

          Saunders and Murata need to fight to unify their lineal titles and settle this once and for all.

            That's true. Lineal doesn't necessarly mean you're the best. But as a certified boxing historian, my job is to trace the lineage no matter where it leads me or how disappointing the conclusions may be.
