He is not that bad at all. He throws a lot of punches, but lacks defense. Clearly top 20 guy, maybe top 15.

At 34 years old, I feel he could make one more run at a "World" title shot, if he could string together a couple of decent wins. Maybe rematch Adam Kownacki? Why don't people seem to get behind him in the US? In the UK he gained a bit of a cult following with the "I walk this earth like a God!" comedy act.

      In the UK?

      Well?

Well, looking at it for what it is...his current #2 ranking with the IBF has nothing to do him actually deserving it, and everything to do with the IBF giving him the rub for the favour he did them previously - laying down for AJ, essentially. "You do this for us, and we'll look after you later".

Based on how...un-motivated and disinterested he seems to be when the spotlight really goes on..I don't think he'll be anything more than a gatekeeper type. He'll put up a good fight against B-level guys, but he doesn't seem to have the killer instinct to foot it with the best.

Very good heavyweight and I place him 4th best southpaw overall even if they are limited in numbers as always,he’s a solid fighter and improbable since the AJ fight. Underated power and abilities like most who lose to AJ .

That was a 10 rounder on short notice ,he also had Kownacki hurt at one point late . The thing with those fights they are voted for fight of the year just like Arreola vs Kownacki was, I’m not sure if boxing fans will ever become the savvy MMA fans who appreciate good fights . Martin never disappoints really ,had AJ not defeated him he would be a PBC all star.

I won`t be surprised if Martin beats Ortiz, if they fight.

yeah what you said is true and if it had been 12 rounds he probably gets a draw but then my comment would be "he got a draw with a fat oaf with no defense. thats not good. thats not good at all."
