Why..... Why is Charles Martin Ranked #2 by the IBF??

Before they fought, Washington was #9 and Martin was #11.

Martin KOs Washington and now he's number #2?

And they moved Kayabel from #4 down to #9?? After he won the damn WBA regional title? What??

What the fuck is going on at the IBF offices?

Martin is ex IBF world title holder, so he has some protection.

Are you really looking to make sense of org rankings? especially the IBF. While they are the best at operating in their rules, their rankings are terrible

Presumably the answer is money. From somewhere. For some reason.

Maybe Pulev is about to pull out and Martin will be given the shot?

I'm sure the machinations will become clear.

Stop tugging ya' meat over the alphabet titles. Become wise, and realise that the only title that matters is the Lineal. The Gypsy King has been reigning now for almost 5 years, everyone else is a pretender.

The International Boxing Federation serves professional boxers and those interested in being members of the IBF.

Fortunately the IBF rankings let you select by month so it's quite easy to find out who was where when, and actually yes indeed the Kabayel situation is kinda weird and yes I'd say it's a bit odd Martin got elevated over so many better fighters but it could simply be due to the fact that he's actually fought this year and won whereas so many others have been inactive (Usyk) or are coming off a loss (Hrgovic, Ruiz) or a Draw (Hunter).

I ain't got the time to dig deeper right now but Kabayel's slide down the rankings is a little odd given he's coming off a win... although TBF he did kinda look pretty goddamn awful against Lazaridis.

                    When did Hrgovic lose?

                    He just KO'd Molina.
