Comments Thread For: Whyte: I Have a Feeling Fury Will Beat Wilder - Then Vacate WBC Title

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte could see himself being automatically elevated to the status of full champion. Whyte is going to face former WBA champion Alexander Povetkin on Saturday night at Matchroom's Fight Camp in Brentwood.

I have a feeling Joshua will do the same, will vacate WBO and never face Usyk

When it comes to big money HW fights nobody really cares about the belts anymore. Fury/Joshua (if both win their next fights) is the biggest fight out there regardless if it includes the WBC & WBO belts. The winner of their 2 fight series can then try to unify if they choose but it’s all about money & I see it being difficult for Fury to stay motivated after the Joshua fights. Fury has already held all 4 belts so it is all about money & nothing else...

I have a feeling Povetkin catches Whyte with a left hook and sleeps him and everyone on boxingscene will celebrate.

I don't think it's "fear"...Fury and Joshua are bigger than the belts, I think they're looking for the money fight against each other. Whoever holds the belts they vacate (if they do) is paper champion. If Whyte beats Povetkin, he'd be wise to accept step aside money if it comes with a guaranteed shot at the winner who would be the undisputed champ. Then he gets TWO fat pay days and a shot at the REAL championship. Usyk is irrelevant anyways...he hasn't earned a title shot at heavyweight - he hasn't even beat a top 10 guy yet.

Fury is bigger than the belts, he's already won them all.

Fury without a belt is B side against Joshua.

Joshua will vacate WBO belt and Usyk will fight Parker for that belt.

                  Would be absolutely marvelous.

I'm rooting for Povetkin to remain a top contender so I'd be thrilled with a statement win like that.

                    False.

Lineal is never B - side.
