What u guys think of Edgar Berlanga?

He's starting to look more and more polished even though he's fighting FedEx drivers I think the power is real. David Benavidez wants to fight him but even though they're the same age I don't think Edgar is ready for him.

They say that the power is definitely real. I'd like to see him against another prospect with a strong chin to see what happens. He is an exciting fighter to watch. I dont think he is capable of having a boring fight unless an opponent is in survival mode. I'm looking forward to seeing him again and see how he performs in the later rounds. I'm not trying to say he will be PFP ranked at some point but what we have to realize is that tomorrow's PFP fighters are today's amateurs, prospects and contenders and someone has to fill tomorrows slots. Who knows. At this point it appears that he is one of the hardest punchers in boxing.

My trainer fought him, he has been in there with Olympic Medalists and World Champs and he still says that the power is real but we don't know a lot about him besides that. He has a decent amateur background fighting out of NY and a lot of room for improvement, I think any of the top guys beats him, Canelo, Plant, Andrade, Benavidez, Saunders, Jacobs or Smith but who knows what would be the state of the division in 2 years.

For some reason he reminds me of Daniel Santos, whose power looked scary at the start of his career.

Exciting young fighter for sure but of course still years away

I need to see him get in rounds instead of worrying about a K.O. Streak which means sh^t in boxing honestly. Too often I see guys build up this K.O. Streak but then when they step up they get exposed, we just seen it with Rolly this past weekend who was said to have all this Power because of all the KO's he was scoring then vs a step up and more skilled competition he kind got exposed. Same with Anthony Yarde who was mowing people down before the Kovalev fight but then vs Kovalev he gassed and was stopped

So yeah, gotta take on different styles and lets see some versatility and if he can make adjustments

But yeah he has Superstar Potential for sure so him as well as the Cuban David Morrell have me Super Excited about the future of that Divisions. Not sure if Benavidez will make 168 again but if not the show will go on without him and it is still a stacked Division. Burley Brooks is another name to watch at 168 as well another big puncher

Berlanga and Morrell both get beat by Bek the Bully. All 3 are prospects but Bek the Bully already has wins over Clay Collard and Vaughn Alexander while the other two still fighting cab drivers, shmmm
