It's ironic that the new game in town that was always accused of being like cock fighting etc. has become far more like a legit sport than boxing. Other than WMMA(and now boxing is being targetted by feminism as well) mixed martial arts doesn't have the problems that boxing faces. I don't know how much more corrupt the latter wants to become but it will probably be dead before it becomes like the old days again.

Did you watch that ****tt show of a “fight” last night where one guy literally held the other guy for two rds against the cage and the chubby guy was trying to avoid shots by leaning all the way back like he’s doing the limbo it was horrific to watch to be honest.

Both dc and stipe would be d level bums in boxing today.

            That is my theory.
... this isn't a theory, these are the bare facts...

It wasnt a great fight. The current HW scene in MMA is terrible and both of those guys are past their primes, especially DC.

BUT...Fury, AJ and Wilder wouldnt even be D level bums in MMA. Even the washed up versions of DC/Stipe would beat those 3 one after the other in less than 5 mins combined.

Yes you’re right about that but I’m also referring to they’re striking level it’s comical yet They actually received praise for fighting such a sloppy wild fight its the norm in the ufc in boxing they would have been crucified for looking so amateurish yet the ufc applauds it because they’re standards are low VERY LOW that’s a fact.

The UFC shill for their **** all the time. But that fight is actually getting criticized a lot on the MMA forums. People were saying it was sloppy and that the UFC calling them the best HWs ever is ridiculous.

Fedor/Cro Cop from 2005 is still the gold standard for HW MMA from a technical perspective. Cro Cop was a very skilled striker too.
