David Tua should have challenge John Ruiz after he beats Holyfield

Tua already knocked out John Ruiz in their fight. John Ruiz defeated Holyfield for the WBO title . For an uncrowned world champion he defeated several good boxers in his prime. No shame in losing to Lennox who was the best heavyweight boxer in the 1990's.

Prime David Tua was a real phenom. Would give many present and past fighters big problems on his day. When he hit 'em they stayed hit!

Your post is all over the place. You can't seem to decide on past or present tense. He never fought Holyfield and wouldn't have won that fight even at that stage in Holyfield's career.

I meant after John Ruiz defeated Evander Holyfield for the WBA title.

Maybe he did and Ruiz said no thank you.

I believe Don King kept Ruiz far away from Tua. Than Tua lost to Byrd and he was done as challenger.

Ruiz would have never accepted that fight. Not enough money for the L he'd receive. Funny thing is getting KTFO by Tua again would have been less embarrassing than that loss to Jones.

After Lennox Lewis retired 'David Tua should of really captured a world title'.

There was a short time period when the titles where all over the place, or not really held by solid champions. Oleg Maskaev, Hasim Rahman etc

Thanks for reminding me of the Ruiz Holyfield trilogy. I was having trouble falling asleep tonight.
