Tyson was singing a song. Nothing else.
Idiots like Don are the racists
People who get mad over this should calm down. Like you said, he is singing along with a song, a song by a black man. It’s not like Tyson was saying he hates N’s or anything like that. The intent is obviously not malicious. Reactions like these take away from true claims of real racism.
It's a dangerous double standard. No word should be casually thrown around by one group with no ramifications while another group may have their life threatened if they use it. It is designed to empower one group and weaken the other. No different from any group that has used language OR ANY OTHER IDENTIFIER in this way historically. Toxic and dangerous. Ask any Crip or Blood about headbands.
I don't care about this subject but it is frustrating when you see a thread that has a ton of opinions voiced that are addressed in the video.
Let me clarify. Unless you have something more to say than " Black folk say ****** so I reckon I can say ****** too" then move the **** on son.
All you're saying is you are a highly opinionated punk ***** who needs to express his opinion on the matter before hearing out the other side.
dgaf, grow up, listen to the man, respond in a way that makes sense, or, stfu and move on.
If I say if you think the color of the belts matter you don't understand boxing. It's not kung fu, we don't have black, red, etc for hierarchy. WBC green and EBU blue are just aesthetics.
and you respond with The WBA is a black belt and the IBF is red so the WBA is higher, you just did not listen.
If, in this case, you want to use color as a means to justify belt ranking then you need to do more than repeat the ****ing opinion you started with and link that ****ing point to that ****ing opinion ya dumb ****.
I'm gonna put my two cents in. when I was a punk kid I would use it. but now when I'm reciting lyrics to my self out loud I stop by at the letter N. I feel that if u can say around your friends but not in other cities among different citizens then don't use it.
