    good career, but the best in the history of a country? Compare him to the best boxers to come out of other countries that are known for boxing whether its the US, UK, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Philippines and its not even a close comparison.

      Well he would be unique from the standpoint of becoming a three weight champ but he'd still clearly not the best Irish fighter ever considering our extensive history in the sport.

        true, but the multi division titles kind of lost credibility for me as a fan once Broner became a 4 division world champion. I tend to focus more on who you beat than titles won.

          is there a difference between irish born and irish fighter so?

          calling ward irish seems a bit mad even if he does have an irish connection, hell the goat ALI had an irish connection LOL

          and i remember he went there to visit the rellies before he passed away
