Paul Williams VS Timmeh Bradley and the other modern welters

    How do these fights go.

    Timmeh
    Crawford
    Spence
    Keith
    Porter
    Garcia

Paul skill is exaggerated because he was avoided [not a draw], but he was beat by gatekeeper Quintana at 147

    He was vulnerable to southpaws.

    Quintana, Lara, Martinez

But Paul Williams was a thing of beauty in that ring.

Showed his chin and toughness against Margarito and Walter Matthysse, came back to beat Quintana in the rematch if I remember and his punch output and come forward style, the man was a solid fighter and threat to anybody.

A fight vs Floyd could’ve turned out like Floyd vs Chico or Floyd could’ve been beat since his fragile hands would t do nothing with a thousand punches coming from such a Tall rangy fighter with pop.

He was a very tall welterweight. he would be competitive with every 47 fighter.

Losses to them all but he might be able to outwork Garcia and Thurman in close fights.

He was very tall & long but had no idea how to fight tall. 6ft2 and he fought like he was literally 5ft2.

I don't see him beating any but maybe Garcia and Thurman (SD type fights either way).

Crawford would box his ears off. Spence beats him anyway he wants and Bradley & Porter would beat him at his own game & despite having little power I wouldn't at all be surprised if either put him on his ass or stopped him. They'd be constantly catching him in the middle of exchanges. I can't see them being able to miss those overhand rights they love to throw.

He had no defense or ring I.Q and just threw with awful technique for the sake of throwing. No real thought process or skill in anything he did. He wouldn't set up anything with a simple feint, a jab and would just constantly throw when either way too far out of range or far too close. In truth he was a terrible boxer and one of the most technically awful world level fighters maybe in the sports history.

A huge overachiever really (not like he achieved a huge amount other than fans hearts)

I think he would do OK winning some and losing some. The top welterweights you list are all fairly close in fighting ability. I think Spence and Crawford beat him and he probably beats the others in close fights. He was very tall with a long reach, decent power and a very high amount of punches thrown per round. His defense was just average..

Williams was good and had a great reach. Many remember the second Martinez fight with the great KO but the first one was a blast! Bradley I always find bit difficult to think about. he could box, he could brawl (but didn't have too much concussive power compared to some other fighters), he could move but he often got drawn into those brawls which wasn't too good for him. I'd honestly think Paul Williams would have won but who knows, I just find it hard to predict Bradley's fights

Paul Williams vs Crawford is a very interesting fantasy match up
