Romero is a narcissistic prick. Gonna be a joy watching him get flattened some day.

I never like to write mean stuff about young prospects but man sit your delusional ass down somewhere and work on being a better fighter! Nobody mentions you because nobody knows you. These kids would say the most ridiculous stuff for likes, but then start believing what they're saying and end up doing 2 terrible things: 1) stop trying to improve as a fighter 2) raise the expectation's bar extremely high. A recipee for failure impo. And then these kids complain that taking a loss in boxing ends your career, well guess what, you sleep in the bed you make.

Stay humble kid and earn your stripes first.

WBA is a joke, 4 lightweight champions ???????? It is bad enough that WBC, IBF, WBO also has champions, now it is getting to the point where there over 10 lightweight champions.

They don't call you out kid, because you're a noob. You're supposed to be doing the calling out, as you said yourself.

Then Rolando is either a fool, or has psychological problems and the reasons for me saying that are the following :
                1. He'll find fewer sparring partners, because sparring is part of his training to perfect strategies, defense, and offense, etc.
                2. Boxers don't want to get injured in sparring, an injury which can give a future opponent a advantage, cause a postponement,
cancellation, and in some rare cases end a career, or lead to death.
                3. Their are also spies, or disgruntled members of the gym who'll report what they've observed to the future opponents camp.
                4. He might find himself sparring with heavier, taller, and faster fighters, who can deal with his wild style of sparring.
                5. His sparring wars will eventually catch up with him, it's happened to many Philly Fighters.
                6. Someone said that he has some Ricardo Mayorga in him, look at Mayorga now, he's been beaten up in the street in Nicaragua,
now he's in a rehab. Life is no joke, and boxing is deadly serious it's wise to respect all your opponents, spar/fight fair.
Yea I'm a fan of Rollie & gotten to see him fight live here in Vegas a couple times & I do think he gots potential, but the story with sparring is he gets a lil rough & reckless + he seems to *******ly bring up sparring stories which isn't likely to do you any favors in getting higher profile work sooner or later.

And of course no one is talking about him cuz he's not done anything yet or gotten much momentum going in his career. He's had 11 fights & has had 5mos or longer between them half the time while only going past the 2nd round three times. He should be much more active than he's been. Assume that's more on MP than him doe but who knows.

That said this fight is a step in the right direction, but it seems like a lofty move forward having never been past 6 rounds & going into a 12 rounder vs a unbeaten guy who's been deep a few times. If this gets into the 4th or 5th round it will be interesting to see how Rollie holds up gas tank wise & in general.

You may be right. I mean I know there's not many high level fights being made right now due to covid but why is an article about an 11 fight novice talking trash about the top fighters in his division when he hasn't even mixed with a fringe contender or journeyman level boxer.
If Rolly is so good, why isn't he being hyped up by Mayweather Promotions? Or his crew or his sparring partners? Shi_t Mayweather hyped up J Leon Love and Broner like they were the next big thing.

Hahaha. I was thinking the same thing. He's turned away the majority of boxers who'd be willing to spar with him.

Looking at him, I don't think he cares. I don't even think that he contemplates what tomorrow will bring other than who he'll try to KO next.

I've been looking at Jackson Mariņez, and he is no joke. He's much more controlled than Rollie. Rollie is a brawler. He started boxing late, so he probably feels like he needs to do whatever he can to make up for lost time. So he will likely take a fight with whomever they put in front of him. I suppose that means whomever Leonard Ellerbe lets him fight. And I think TMT is pretty cautious about with whom they let their fighters get in the ring. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is the master matchmaker, so if he had any say on this fight, they must see something, some kind of weakness with Jackson. But I think that Jackson is going to hurt Rollies and probably win. I've watched Rollie's fights, and they are sloppy. Maybe he's changed, but I'd bet against him in this fight.
