The WBC has roots to the oldest and most legitimate belts in the history of boxing including the first belt ever awarded. Literally everyone else is a copycat.

The WBC is also responsible for most of the normalized rules that separates modern boxing from ye oldey old boxing...everyone else is a copycat.

      Current WBC:

      - Retreat to your corner of the ring before a fallen opponent.

      - The count of half a minute after a fall and to be able to get back to the center of the ring and restart the fight or be considered “man out of action”.

      - Only the boxers and their seconds could climb into the ring.

      - The prohibition of private arrangements between boxers in terms of money.

      - The selection of referees to settle disputes between boxers.

      - The prohibition of hitting an opponent when s/he is down.

      - Locks can only be used above the waistline.

      - The reduction of the length of title fights from 15 to 12 rounds.

      - The official weigh-in required 24 hours before the fights.

      - The creation of divisions.

      - The four-rope ring.

      - The thumb-attached glove.

      - Doping tests after each fight sanctioned by the WBC.

      - Donations to UCLA for research.

      - Annual medical examinations for champions and classified boxers.

      - Life and hospitalization insurance for those fighters involved in title fights.

      - Retirement plans to support boxers in need throughout the world.

      - The struggle against apartheid in South African boxing, which earned our president an acknowledgement from the United Nations.

      – The use of oxygen during fights. During the resting minute, the fighters will have access to oxygen.

      – The use of a new certification of gloves to ensure they are within the parameters of safety for the boxers.

      – The use of a written protocol for all that bandages must be, what is permitted as well as what is not permitted, so that it can be dealt with in the same way throughout the world.

      – The referees have the authority to stop the fight when an opponent is in poor condition and does not have the slightest opportunity to emerge victorious.

      Future WBC endeavors:

It is already confirmed that there will be a project to create a new form of world boxing championships to be known as “Premier” which will result in the unification of the titles of the four organizations that currently rule the sport.

All fighters will receive a “passport” with their medical data allowing them to prevent sports accidents in their fights in the ring.

The International Boxing passport will protect the boxers from accidents and so-called pirates of boxing.

The creation of an amateur boxing tournament at regional and national levels and in the future at a global level, aiming to look for new boxing idols.

My point it it is HARD to be the legit one when you're copying another's moves.

Who awards a trophy, a medal, or a ring instead of a belt? No one

Who sanctions World title fights for any other length but 12 rounds? No one

Who doesn't send fighters to the neutral corner for a count? No one

Who doesn't have weight divisions? No one

Who doesn't use the four rope ring? No one

Most of what we see as normal, modern, boxing is from the WBC. What isn't totally ripped off by every body we recognize is stuff like retirement plans....medical concerns....hardly **** to hold against the WBC as illegitimate.

They invented the Franchise and Mayans belts, oooh nnoooo, boxing is ruined because promo belts exist, **** that ****ing insurance for boxers, we need less belts, you is not as legit as those who copy you but don't make promo belts. Me is not dumb, short sighted, or emotional.

        I’m old school.

WBC for life. All those others are second rate imo.

the wba is a total joke and the wbc is quickly following them, at least the ibf has tried to address the rehydration issue in my eyes anyway, guys coming in 5 to 15ibs heavier than their opponent on the night seems just mad to me anyway

WBC historically but right now IBF seems to be the least corrupt of the four.

Because they are not legitimate at all.

They are the World Bobarum Organization.

They all suck for similar reasons, sh^tty rankings, sketchy mandos & run of the mill slick bs. It's a tallest midget contest & who gives a fook who's the tallest midget when none can get on the roller coaster any damn way.

They have one belt, one champion, unlike these other "in it for the money" sanctioning bodies. I think they are the lesser evil out of the others.
