Loma could lose to Teo, but I hope you don't pull the same shit Rigo fans did if he doesn't.
Green? Lopez obliterated Commey in 2 rounds to become a world champion. Every other guy that beat him did so via split decision, so Lopez is his only clear loss so far. "What? Loma's having issues with guys in his 3rd weight division? He must be over the hill!" Fucking hell lmao. He's a 2x gold medalist with nearly 400 wins, who became a 5x, 3-weight world champion in 15 fights, just to be called grossly overrated by a random loser in a forum. Yeah, I'm sure Loma has trouble going to sleep at night, knowing that 1hourRat thinks he's overrated
You think Loma should be dropped from top 10 p4p, if he struggles for a win that'd make him undisputed? You must have the same dealer as Kalle Sauerland.
People with clarity and genuineness, with clear hearts, will recognise the hatred and vitriol spouting out of his words. He'll twist any angle to disparage the man and he becomes an instant fan of whoever his opponent is. When Haney said no white boy will ever beat me in boxing, he was speaking to this guy directly. And this guy lauded that sentiment.
He says Loma is over-rated. Question is valid from the other side, is Teofimo overated?
The short answer is yes. He is overrated. But allow me to explain why he is overrated and the dangers that come from moving too quickly up the ladder.
I mean, Lopez and his father are calling out Vasyl feckin’ Lomachenko, for chrissakes. This is no ordinary champion. Loma is not even your average all-time great. He is an absolute master, and someone who can make even a great like Rigondeaux look **** average.
He ruined Rigondeaux’s career with the beating he gave him. And when the Cuban quit, fans could not take to him the same way as they did before.
So, with Lopez, even asking for this fight is ridiculous. But given that he now holds the last title that Lomachenko needs to become the undisputed champion — which is crucial to his own aspirations and goals — I suppose it kind of has to happen.
Now, Lopez is not overrated by everyone, but as any true boxing fan knows he has yet to prove himself against the best.
Sure, he knocked out Commey in spectacular fashion, but one swallow does not make a summer.
Lopez and his father have done a great job of promoting the youngster as a killer, but you would have to think that they are making a mistake in choosing Lomachenko right now.
I think Lopez will be badly beaten. Although Loma hasn’t looked his best at 135 pounds, he will be up for this fight. Given the chance, he could show everyone his best, which would be terrible news for the 23-year-old.
It is far too early to say that Lopez is world-class, and those rating him as such need to see him in there with fighters that can test him.
Loma wouldn’t test him; he would take him to school and put such a masterclass on him that it could damage his career.
So Lomachenko Beats Lopez?
Yes. Lomachenko will be too good for him.
I think he is showing Lomachenko a great deal of disrespect and that doesn’t sit well with me.
Now, I’m not wet behind the ears enough to not know what is going on here.
Lopez is clearly riding on the crest of a hype wave that is taking him to the forefront of the mind of boxing fans across the globe. Even by calling out Lomachenko, his profile will be raised tenfold.
But like Aesop’s “Boy Who Cried Wolf,” it looks like he is going to have to face the consequences for opening his big mouth.
Compared with Lopez, I have no doubt that Lomachenko holds the advantages in every department other than power and youth. And funnily enough, it will be the Ukrainian icon’s experience that will play a major part in this fight.
While to say Lopez has a puncher’s chance against the 32-year-old could sound a little bit disrespectful, I think he’s far too green to be stepping into the ring against the master.
You could offer me odds of +2000 on Lopez to win this fight, and I still wouldn’t take them.
That’s how strongly I feel about his chances.Last edited by TarasMarcenko; 08-13-2020, 01:16 AM.

Just to piggy back on this, here are some predictions
Mikey Garcia made a prediction, which was interesting:
Here's what an expert says, and I defer quite a bit to Teddy Atlas who had predicted Teofimo KO's Commey within three rounds:
And last, but not least, what Bob Arum had told Teofimo and his dad but they refused to listen to him:
I think, collectively, they say quite a bit.
