I still believe Parker has the talent to win titles, his only problem as I see it is he has never really settled into a style that suits him.

I think he's best as an aggressive boxer/puncher, on the front foot and pressuring. All his fights where he has sat back and tried to box haven't really convinced me he's giving 100%.
Parker has no problem, he only wants to get another WBO shot.

    1. get another mandatory position and fight for WBO; or even better for all the belts with unified champion

    2. Fight Usyk for WBO, if Joshua vacates

Forget Parker fighting Ruiz again, or Ortiz, Wilder, or Helenius...

With that being said, I'm hoping Fa and expecting Browne.
Browne hasn’t won a meaningful fight in 4 years against Chaegav and was knocked out by Whyte and Allen not long ago I can’t see Hearn making a statement of a big fight which included Browne . It would have to be Fa or some other undefeated prospect with a NZ debut on DAZN . Unless it was billed as the guys who lost to Whyte who were Browne and Parker ? Ha

Yes, Browne is an underwhelming fight but I'm expecting to be underwhelmed and hoping for something better than that. It's just the reality of making fights in the pandemic era. The Fa/Parker fight seemed like it was having difficulty being made before the pandemic.

Agree with all of that. I have followed nearly his entire career (watched some of his early fights on NZ tv) and i think partly the problem is Kevin Barry (do not rate him at all) and partly the problem is JP personality.
too laid back too nice, which you expect from kiwis but i honestly think if Joe wasnt a christian you would see a totally different fighter.

Kind of like how pre christian Pac was merking people with vicious KO's and then religious pac, the KO's starting to completly dry up and he was content just to do enough on the scorecards instead of badly knocking out his opponents...

Is Parker-Fa a big fight in NZ?

I’m lead to believe Hearn has that fight in the bag with his statements. He’s the best promoter by far imo and got this one done and it’s usually team Parker being difficult so now he has 2 NZ headaches to deal with .

Fa will make an interesting rival over there if he can win or make a difficult fight which I believe he will . If he hasn’t then I would be surprised it’s anyone with multiple losses ,I’m figuring it is a top prospect.

I like the optimistic outlook and hope you're right. I definitely think the Fa/Parker fight is interesting based on the regional rivalry and amateur history aspects. Will be nice to see Fa in against a live opponent.
