Floyd's resume stacks up just fine against anyone's if you take account of the changes in the sport over time and take your nostalgia specs off. So does Manny's for that matter. I usually regard ATG discussions as something to be left to the historians of the future, but I have zero doubts both will be remembered as long as we still got boxing.

How does it compare to other all time greats top 5? Especially when he beat them and the circumstances could put some asterisks on his resume.
Jmm win is not better then his wins against
          Cotto
          Corrales
          Castillo
          Hatton

it was literally a tune up

Floyd -Wilfred Benitez at would be the most boring 147 fights ever. I don`t even wanna imagine that. two defence wizards , trying to punch each other at least once in round.

It's funny watching Floyd haters spit nonsense. The topic was to compare Floyd's top wins against the top wins of other ATG. Will any of you do that instead of using your cookie cutter I hate floyd responses that barely have anything to do the topic?

You forgot cotto at 6. It looks like any other resume with 6 HOF’ers at the top.

Why would you put an asterisk by any of the wins?

JMM has a better resume and was higher rated p4p fighter than any of those fighters.

Corrales, Castillo shouldn't even be mentioned with the rest.

This is pretty much how it is, fans tend to run with the hype and romance of the past, they dont fully understand boxing in all its facets so they feed of hype and bragging rights, media pumping one and ragging on another, as time passes people enshrine the past greats like they were not humans but Gods, they not just made out to be.

Not Gods they were humans that were great at what they did just as the best of today are also humans great at what they do.

Go and show a classic technical bout to a crowd that have never seen a boxing match, and then show them a 4 round war between two knuckleheads swinging for the fences, and then show them a C grade guy having his first fight and he destroys the opponent and puts him to sleep.

Then ask them all who is the best fighter ,,,, this is exactly what the entire fan mindset is made up off, its not based on who is the best for real, its based on fan hype.

Not so much. He lacks a Prime All Time Great in his resume that stands out.
