Yeah I dont think so either but they will promote him as the next big thing so he will make a good living out of it

Ocham's razor, the simple answer is often correct.

If Regis Prograis goes with Top Rank means he's staying at 140lbs to get a shot at Ramirez, Jose Zepeda,Jose Pedraza, Alex Saucedo and the avenge his only loss to Josh Taylor. If he goes to the PBC it's because he can't make 140lbs and at 147 the PBC has more depth. Those are the facts.

Strictly my humble opinion...Taylor and and Ramirez are big 140lbers and they will soon move up in weight. At 147 Prograis has problems, he doesn't fight well inside and needs room to land but there are bigger better outside fighter at 147lbs. He'll look great against Adrian Granados but Spence, Danny,Thurman, Porter and even Bronner will be favored over Regis.

The next time you don't get Crawford/Spence or Tank/Loma or Wilder/AJ just know that Dibella is the only promoter that (if it was in the best interest of his fighter) would have made every single one of those fights.

Unfortunately there are too many cult fans that cannot see the forest for the trees, they just can't see the big picture.
Yep. Lou was on Mannix's podcast last week and he laid it all out: HBO's ratings decline that resulted in their exit directly coincided with their exclusive agreement with GBP, and now that PBC and DAZN aren't overpaying fighters as a loss leader, the fights aren't getting made and the people aren't tuning in, even when there's nothing else to watch.

Again, its not good for boxing when a promoter like Dibella loses fighters because he is being blackballed for going to the other side of the street to make great fights. Putting Progrias in with Taylor and attempting Wilder vs AJ for $100 million pissed off the networks and they intend to stop it.

If that's the case, Top Rank would make sense. Lots of viable candidates there. Wherever he goes, I look forward to seeing Rougarou back in the ring soon. Dude is an incredibly entertaining fighter.
Cannot argue a thing with those words. I am a pretty big fan of Prograis and the spirited fight against Taylor only made me cheer for him harder. But he does not need 147. Those would be all hard for him as most of those guys could move up if they wanted and Prograis would be at his physical limits.

Stay at 140, and I like the Top Rank pairing. They sure need someone of his charisma. Young 140 talent might start moving to them to fight him after a couple bouts of being promoted on ESPN.

I do want a Taylor rematch though.... no real bad decisions for him here.

Top rank should be the move. Ramirez, Taylor and eventually, maybe Crawford

Yea I'd agree. About the only alluring thing on the PBC side money wise is Briner & he's diminished his own rep + money making him less valuable to fight & who knows about any issues that could arise for him that could get your fight with him postponed or canceled. If Regis can get past Ramirez he's likely already shortlisted for a Bud fight. If he does well or beats Bud he's a player at 147 & everything will be looking up.

Cool of Lou to let him split early without all the drama & bs other promoters have when fighters wanna explore other options.

Everytime I hear Lou on a podcast he sounds & sometimes outright says he loves the sport of boxing but hates the business of boxing. These moves are probably more a sign of that annoyance. If he's completely out of boxing in a few years or just deals with a client or two if he sticks around longer I wouldn't be surprised at all.

PPV B side how many fights he won, he does not even try to win. A good fight for Amir Khan is Broner, Regis is better than, make no mistake he is a journeyman who looking for a payday when has he won a world title. Another point really anybody can become a 4 time weight champion and you dont have to be a world class.

                      thats a fact.
