I don’t believe boxing is lagging to mma
As proven by how many mma fighters drool over a crossover fight to boxing
But I do think that boxing has a hard time making new or younger fans to cherish the sport
That said , I believe it begins with the fact that boxing has up to 4 champions in one division
People don’t seem to wanna know more than one , especially when talking about the younger generation
They wanna support one champion per division , easier to identify

I dont understand why posters run on here and act like the UFC is MMA...That would be like me telling MMA fans PBC, or Top Rank are the only boxing places

I think you misunderstood me I was saying that the UFC has a monopoly and so they can put on real top bill fights month after month.

In boxing it's more cometetive between promoters you have Haymon, Hearn, Arum and then a few guys just below that tier.

If all of boxing was under one promotor like the ufc basically dominates 90% of MMA then boxing would be killing it (well, that promotion would)

In theory all the paper champs and title holders benefits boxing if they would all fight each other.

How big would boxing be if all the title holders fought each other?

If unified fights were made every PPV like UFC?

The best boxing is light years ahead of the best mma.

Unfortunately for boxing the best or the paper champs/ title holders don’t fight each other.

Imagine if all the youngsters fought for example at 135 how big that would be? Haney, Lopez, Garcia, Davis?

It don’t happen that’s why ratings suck.

              Exactly...

Even 168 has 4 undefeated champions and none of them are unifying

Canelo is the most popular and highest paid boxer in the world and all he does is fight well.

Because nothing happens in boxing. Instead all we got is “He’s ducking!” And “Why should he fight him doe? He should’ve signed to this promoter.”

The ***git boy fanboys. Specifically the black powa dipshts Mayweather brought in that push anything pro Mayweather/Haymon, is what’s making this a lot worse than it has to be.
