Spence reminds me of an undisciplined weight drained Danny Jacobs. He could very well move up to super middle before his career is over taking a few bad losses along the way. By bad losses I mean beat senseless and losing on points or getting stopped. He has the goods but lacks the discipline it takes to be elite

It is a ton of Spence hate here. The kid is undefeated and has Called out his share of top names. The names he has faced he has beaten pretty decisively without gifts or robberies. Has he had a fight or two that was closer than you might have expected ? Sure. But the guy is a winner and has done much more already than Danny Jacobs has in his career and he’s been fighting for a lot shorter time frame. (Shouts out to Jacobs for beating cancer and losing that time in his career but still coming back to become a legit title holder)

All this doubting if he’s the same after the car accident I can understand. I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt in this case. He has to show he’s lost it instead of having to prove he still has it. But I do get the folks who feel the opposite because the footage of the accident was horrible.

All in all I expect him to handle Danny and win a clear decision. Easy fight ? No. Kell Brook wasn’t easy. Shawn Porter wasn’t easy. But he will win and if it goes to the cards nobody will need to complain about the judges when his hand is raised.

Nah! Garcia isn't beating Spence even on his worse day because Danny lacks the confidence and no longer believes in himself or his ability.

Whoa take a step back I'm not hating on the dude at all. If you will read my post I'm giving him due credit. I'm saying he does balloon up in between fights which is a lack of discipline. It will eventually catch up to him.

Great fight! If Spence is the same guy he was he should beat Garcia, howerver it won't be an easy fight because Garcia is tough as nails and is a guy no one has ever been to dominate nor walk him down, plus has an awesome chin and very good fundamentals.

I'm pretty sure Spence will work that body to slow him down and possibly hurt him. Spence is a fearsome body puncher.

The biggest "if" on this fight will be to see if Spence is really the same guy he used to be. Props to him for not seeking a tuneup, that only shows how confident he is.

All yawl hating on Spence, including Porter, are gonna disappear like it's a magic trick or something after Garcia gets beaten senseless and stopped.

I don't bet on boxing, but no way does Spence beat up and stop Danny Garcia. He might outpoint him, but Danny is far too skilled to get beat senseless by anyone - even Bud Crawford.

Same thoughts. This was always a highly competitive matchup, but I don't think Spence is the same as before. Errol reportedly puts on 40-50lbs between fights, so that's another thing that's going to catch up to him sooner or later. I'm picking DSG by decision, but I think he repeatedly rocks Errol along the way.

Well said! Spence was good before the accident, but low output and not exactly fast. DSG can take a punch and has faster hands than Spence. Spence's deliberate and accurate heavy shots can break down fighter's (see Porter fight), but if he faces someone that can hang and throw some heavy shots as well...it becomes a 50/50 fight after that nasty car crash!!
