Man the sequence that the Columbian did to Berchelt is the exact same follow ups that Reynoso teaches. I’m going to bet that Valdez’s left hook is more vicious than that Colombian’s.

That fight was a long time ago, Berchelt has eaten some big shots without being hurt since then

Khan also ate big shots against Maidana. Valdez is an efficient Left Hooker. If Valdez can setup the exact same position and sequence as That Colombian I think he wins by stoppage after Berchelt is rattled. Look at the sequence. That Columbian was lucky to be in that position at That time. These types of follow up 1-2 hooks is what Reynoso trains.

Where Valdez is dangerous is if Berchelt abandons defense and leaves himself open in general or get Valdez hurt and rushes in and gets countered with a perfect shot. Valdez does have power.

Valdez is too busy being trained to be a Canelo by Reynoso

Valdez has a shot, its boxing and anything can happen!

Reynoso has to make sure Valdez is really sharp, I would say use a game plan of what Sugar Shane Mosley did to Antonio Margarito!

I tend not to judge a fighter if he gets caught early in a fight. This stuff happens. Berchelt has improved so much and has looked very steady.
