If it is Quigley, I'll puke. It should at least be the guy who ripped Quigley a new hole.

Ranked #1 with the WBO, but is deathly afraid of the WBO middleweight champion and would rather face Charlo who is already booked this Fall.

Munguia's relevance came from a beat down of a smaller and suspect Sadam Ali. Problem was he was still young and raw when he ascenxed to the scene. Since then, he's had to be protected from his deficiencies with fights against the likes of Smith, Cook, Hogan, Inoue, Allotey and O'Sullivan. He doesn't seem to have developed over those half dozen fights and I suspect he will have to fight someone dangerous at some point before he's ready for it.

With that being said, the Quigley fight makes perfect sense to me.

Unless you trying to cash out and fight Canelo or GGG what's the rush? He's only 23 and had just 1 fight at 160. He's obviously a work in progress and needs fights to develop and get experience at this weight. If he's going the WBC route Quigley is acceptable he's in their top 15 and with golden boy so should be easy to make. I think Munguia needs 2-3 fights with guys like Quigley, Gabe Rosado, Shane Mosley Jr, Brandon Adams before he challenges one of the top guys at 160.
