Is this typically the style of fighting boxer punchers dislike?

Note that I do catch them coming in, but at the end of my punches.... not enough to be safe.

No, boxer punchers doesnt have to wait for their opponent to come to them and walk them in to a big shot.

Boxer vs boxer puncher - Sugar Ray Leonard vs Tommy Hearns. The boxer puncher is doing very well here.

I'm pretty sure Hearns was winning when Leonard Ko'ed him and he was certainly winning in the other fight that he got robbed in.

Boxer puncher vs brawler - Hearns vs Hagler. Could have gone either way, no real exposure.

Boxer puncher vs mid range fighter--- no problem.

Boxer puncher vs counter puncher, annoying but still not as much as swarmers.

Jabbing a rushing target that switches levels isn't easy. That's partly why this style is a pain in the behind. Boxer punchers have very good jabs, or else they wouldn't be proficient at long range boxing, and this shot gets marginalized against a very strong swarmer

A swarmer basically tells a boxer puncher : you got great power, speed, technique and leverage, So what? I am not going to give to the time and space to do orthodox boxing.... and I'm fast too....

That's why stunting them by brawling is an option. Very hard psychologically when you normally don't have to brawl, though. The swarmer wins morally either way.

Brawling means you get hit a lot more...

You beat speed with timing and experience. It depends on the skills of the boxer/puncher. If they are one-dimensional, they will have a bad day.
