Wilder should allow Tyson Fury to handle AJ and Whyte before their trilogy fight.

    Makes perfect sense to me.

Deontay should take a couple of tune-up fights, considering the amount of injuries he sustained; the dent in his head, his legs still being tired from carrying the suit, his arms and shoulders and knuckles breaking down from all that windmilling and horrendous form he has been displaying throughout his career. So why not take a few tune-ups?

I am sure Fury and Whyte would both agree to give him an option on fighting the winner down the line. The same arrangement could be made for the Fury/Whyte vs. AJ winner. He would come as baggage for whoever holds the WBC title.

So in theory Deontay could fight two lower-level opponents that he is more used to facing, maybe even have the fearsome Luis Ortiz in a rubber match, then someone like... Charles Martin. Would give him the chance to find a little form. Knowing whatever happens, he either fights Fury/Whyte for the WBC, or faces AJ/Fury/Whyte for the Undisputed.

Would also mean that Fury could fight Whyte in December, and we get the Undisputed next summer. So within 12 months we would have one true King!

As it stands we're gonna have Fury defend the WBC twice, AJ fight Pulev then do nothing for 6+ months, avoiding Usyk, and making who knows what excuses when the time eventually comes in 18+ months for the path to be clear to make the Undisputed. Do it now I say.

I think somebody is worried that Gypsy-Bum Tyson Phooey will never be able to say that he made a single title defense!

Nah...... as a Fury fan, I want him to honour his rematch to Wilder, then fight Whyte, then fight Joshua.

absolutely, that would be the perfect situation... both for Wilder, and for Fury

but... only if Fury beats Joshua, and Wilder has the Fury trilogy in writing

your problem is... I HIGHLY doubt that Hearn and AJ agree with us... and if he doesn't have the trilogy in writing, then Wilder will not agree with us either

Wilders team wants to milk just one more lucrative pay day ,they probably don’t want to risk Whyte or AJ winning so a third Fury fight is their best option not Wilders but he’s not in charge of his own career most of us know this by now.

The much smarter move is to let Fury fight Whyte and AJ and take a tune up fight and risk that vs the reward of undisputed fight for himself but he’s not making the decisions , Finkle and Haymon are and want the heavyweight belt back even if it costs Wilders retirement .

Edit : Also the problem here is Wilders own words of belittling A.J after his loss and stating he would run away from the immediate rematch ,what will this make him look like once again having to back track ona statement if he runs away ? He went so far as to say A.J should retire ,you can’t make statements like that and think they won’t come back to haunt you when you get put in that position.

Nope, it's best or **** off for him.

He's built himself a certain way. If he wants new fans then sure can, but, I'm not rolling with Wilder if he ducks. If Fury ducks then it's cool. If they mutually decide it's in both their best interest I dunno how I'll take that.

Wilder is not going to benefit from tune up fights. He just gets older with more wear and tear, What is best for Wilder is to study film of his loss and try to win the third fight asap. Stepping aside while Fury takes other fights is good for Fury but not for Wilder.
