What if you have 4 belts, suspenders and a bag full of nuts?
I can't believe nobody has created a "supreme nut belt' already, just give the fans what they want.................m..........mmmm (a new PS4 boxing game so we don't have to wait for months to watch crap, crap, bollox cards that you have to remortgage your house to see live).
In the eighties, we saw the likes of Marvin Haggler, Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearne, Mike Tyson, Holyfield and many more, all fight live, free of charge on terrestrial TV.
How is today's system better?Comment

Not surprised. The WBA has been a mess with it's regular and super champs for sometime now. Networks and promoters need to push back by not fighting for any WBA build until this fix this mess.Comment

The WBA is an absolute embarrassment.
It's about time that boxing writers start calling out the bullshit. Something has to be done to reverse the flow of corruption and greed.Comment

The most basic wbc belt for example is worth probably like 300$ or something, but the mayan type belts WBC made Canelo are worth over a million dollars each.(rediculous but those belts will one day be worth even more & will become priceless relics like ancient samurai swords or expensive modern ones one day will)Comment

Yeah.... like the article says: Promoters like pushing it is a tile fight, networks can add legitimacy to a fight on it's broadcast if there is a title, and fighters love to be introduced as champions. Also, the article is 100% accurate on something else: We will tune in because we love the sport.
All this adds up to the insanity that is title contention. So it is not ending anytime soon, even if the sport would be better without any sanctioning organizations in the long run.Comment
