The World Boxing Council had a list of names in the initial concept for 'Franshice' champion. Canelo and Lomachenko were under consideration. Vasily is the first lightweight 'Franchise' champion, thus it was 'unprecedented'.

Devin Haney is high risk and low reward for Vasily, anyone that knows boxing understands this. Haney is a threat to any champion at 135, this is the reason why team Lomachenko and Toprank applied for protection.

OVERRATED! Especially here on the boxingscene, they have Bumchenko listed as #1. How is Vasil Lomachenko over Terence Crawford, Naoya Inoue, Canelo Alvarez? I mean these guys have the 'Tart-Tomato' Josh Taylor as #5. on the P4P!!! You tell me there is no agenda here.

You seem to think they're better. Care to explain why? Their resumes aren't better. They don't have the same amatuer pedigree and they aren't even fighting the same kind of opponents.
Bumchenko's incredible amateur pedigree was why Vasily was a heavy favorite vs. Orlando Salidoe, Vegas had Vasily at -600 on the moneyline, what happened there? Oh, did I mention that Vasily also had experience in the World Series of Boxing?

We been through this, I clearly explained how Vasily Lomachenko ducked Devin Haney, remember?

Leo Santa Cruz, brings the WBA Superfeather weight crown, PPV and is a better name than anyone on Lomachenko's resume.

Tell your boy tank to step up. Every lomachenko fan wants these fights. But you guys always have excuses
Tank already did, he moved up to lightweight, remember?

    Too ****ing funny.

Why do people like you always like ****ing cowards? You and BoxingIsGreat must be good friends.
If Cheapochenko cant afford fellow Toprank stablemate Teofimo Lopez, its going to be difficult for Gervonta Davis to get A-side money.

Lopez is being shortsighted. Get this fight in, win or lose and get a rematch with a gate next year

Lopez far from a superstar too. let the old man do what he knows, and better than all of us gathered discussing here.
        1. Don't call me Bubba, you weirdo. 2. You're not in Lopez shoes to imply that he should just take less than he originally was slated to make for the fight. I understand there's a pandemic but why should the 23 yr old fighter who's taking all of the risk take a pay cut while the 112 yr old multi millionaire continue to make excessive profit off of them? Of all the big name fighters at 135, Lopez is the only realistic option for Loma to have a big fight. Tank is tied up with Leo, Haney and Garcia aren't taking that fight anytime soon, so what's Arums choice to give his aging superstar Loma a big fight? Commey? Easter? Fortuna? Because that's all that's left in that division.

more money will make the fight happen. Also, Arum doesn't have any feasible options for Loma to have a big fight anytime soon. Who is going to get excited for Loma to fight another Campbell or crolla type of opponent?? Top rank needs this fight to happen, especially since arum has already shat the bed with Crawfords career at 147. He can't afford to also keep Loma involved in uneventful fights and knowing that Lopez is quickly outgrowing 135, the fight may never happen if arum doesn't pay up.

the pot money for the fight card is being provided by espn. if espn will not put out more money, do you really think arum will get it from his own pocket just to please lopez? you can criticize arum all you want but other promoters will not do that as well.

and if the fight falls through, i'm sure loma has more options than lopez will. all the top fighters in the division, with the exception of tank davis, want to fight loma.

but why are you weeping on a post? Calm down you emotional wreck of a female. My opinion is that arum should pay up to make the fight. Fighters shouldn't get short changed just so that he can go on his 50th straight yr of taking advantage of his boxera. They're both his fighters and it's the best fight he can realistically make at top rank. If you disagree, then fine. Just stop your uncontrollable crying ya lil b***h.

no other promotor has been promoting since the 60s and has the type of budget top rank has built up. Arum is probably still sitting on Leonard vs hearns money from the 80s. Coming out of his pocket a little more to make the fight happen is worth it as it's a big fight between 2 of his guys and the winner will become even bigger....and still be one of his fighters. If you think someone like diva Ryan Garcia who's already complaining about his paychecks for fighting nobodies is going to accept what's being oferred to Lopez, you're crazy. Haney isn't fighting Loma anytime soon either. You already said tank isn't an option, so who's left for Loma to fight that would draw real interest?
