A draw is not out of question there, and considering that I have joined the League very late this year, and have nothing to lose, why not? I will even put money on that

On the other hand, should I pick this draw correctly, all it would take for me to win the tournament is another couple of draws x3... which, in a way, shows a flaw in the system!

Its funny you happen to mention the "flaw" in the system... I tried that last year, hell no. I lost my a$$ off. I was even trying to watch for the backed house fights so I didnt get hung up, all to fail greatly.
