ggg is a established fighter with a lot of defenses of his belts, fighting the cash cow/diva and beneficiary of a lot of questionables outcomes. A big difference.Comment

I saw a video of the dad talking to Prograis, whereby he said, "This fight with Loma is going to make our family rich!"
So, to me, this is father living vicariously through his kid in order to gain financially with the shortsighted view that his kid is THE GUY before he beats THE GUY.
Well considering that this site is made up of mostly childish fanboys who don’t have basic common sense, there’s probably a lot of people who agree with you.
Arum said that the 1.2 was the final “take it or leave it offer, so I don’t know why they would even still be negotiations. Time will tell who caved.
And I agree ... someone caved. And knowing which side is the more experienced side in negotiating, the side that really has the most leverage, I'm going to surmise that the kid and his dad caved. I mean, he's calling his fans "dumb asses." You know him and his dad have their ears to the ground and are listening.

TBH in any other profession, a business wouldn't give away details or views on their negotiations. Only Boxing promoters often do it though to put pressure on the fighters and/or to portray things their way if they don't want to do the deal.
Why potentially scupper a negotiation by discussing things in public unless you want to use public opinion to manipulate the deal or aftermath.
I have no doubt that there was a moment of reflection those two had about the whole situation. They don't want to look bad, and they don't want to get on Arum's bad side. Nobody does because that never goes well. This is an in-house fight, so the kid and his father are butting heads with the company that "feeds them."

Yeah. Well, I've been on the same message board as the dad before. I KNOW he reads this stuff. Both are active on social media and not just Twitter and Instagram but also Youtube, etc.

The offer given to lopez was around 25% of the purse you ****** fk. That’s not even mentioning the fact that Lopez is an undefeated champ himself and this is for unification. That means that they would be challenging each other for the respective titles.Comment

Yeah he has seen the comments, and now he has to react. He got a lot of credit for daring to face the best unlike clout chasers Tank davis. But then it looked like he himself was just clout chasing but in a different way.
So credit to him IF he goes ahead with the fight. He obviously should be paid well for this fight, and am not with Arum usually but the fight isn't on PPV for whatever reasons, and no live gates.
Kill the dragon and then you become the man and the world is your oyster, none of that "I need to feed my family" doe BS
I'm saying this now, and this was something Bradley said previously, but Loma has had a year off to heal and rest. The guy has been fighting nonstop since he was a little kid. Loma is coming into the ring at 100 percent, where previously he'd been dealing with injuries against Linares and Pedraza. Maybe a little niggling injury against the others. I've had surgery before on my knees, and it took several years before I could make a big jump and land without feeling I'd collapse. So, this could be a very dangerous form of Lomachenko the kid will be fighting here. I hope it is a competitive fight, if it happens.
