The Part About Loma-Teo Nobody Is Talking About

While we all talk about if Teo is right about the lowball or whether he should take the money anyway even if he thinks it's low...let's also not forget to talk about the elephant in the room.

Top Rank has to have extra cash in hand from the budget ESPN had for this year. They had months where no purses or venues were paid because there were no fights.

So, why is Arum only offering Lopez 1.2 million?

Could it be that Bob really doesn't want this fight to happen during a time he can't sell ppvs or tickets to an arena?

The point is, we've seen this dog and pony show before.

So, we just might want to include others in our list of folks to blame, not just Teo if you absolutely need a scapegoat.

neither of these guys are getting over paid or under for this fight, ones established star and the other is an upandcomer, both probably think they are underpaid actually, thats boxing especially at the moment, deal with it or wait it out imo and offers will rise

$1.2 million during these virus times is no laughing matter.

Thurman was more widely known and got the same amount when he fought Porter. And it was during normal times.

Fans like you destroy the sport for no other reason than your PBC bias and everyone and everything associated. Fights will be produced less and less with these kinds of purses.

Bro, everyone hates Arum. Even they knew that $1.2 mil is not something to sneeze at. Meaning, the bias is non-existent unlike you people in that side of the street.

No purses or venues paid means no money coming in it’s a business do you think they put on shows to break even.

ESPN did not give Arum free money for no content. No shows equals no money. Arum offered Pollopez fair market value. Arum has been in this business for 5 decades, he knows what the value of Pollopez is. Pollopez has talked a lot but you can't talk your way to stardom and fortune - you have to beat the best to get the money.

Pollopez is another spoiled fraud bi7ch pretender who wants to mayweather his way to the counterfeit top.

Loma is another eastern european who is the real deal truth who has scared and exposed the north american big mouth pretender.

The elephant in the room is , no matter how you look at it , Loma will school Lopez whether he gets more money or not
But if he does not take this fight , he’ll be forced to take less money to fight a lesser opponent
Now how’s he going to feed his family then since he’s complaining about 1.2 million ?

You haven't seen me say 1.2 million is not a good payday.

But, no one seems to be able to say why or bring numbers to justify why 27% is ok for Lopez.

It can't be based on what other champions got, because Lopez would deserve more of a percentage than Linares or Pedraza.

It can't be based on viewership because, even without the hype machine Loma has behind him, Teo's highest peak viewership of 1.4 million is not that far off from Loma's 2 million. According to those numbers, Lopez should be getting about a 40% split.

The only argument I see being offered is some variation of because Teo had been selling wolf tickets for the fight he should take whatever is being offered...and that's not a mature argument.

And, it isn't hating Arum to point out he has done these types of things before, that fights have not been made because he tried to lowball guys.

But, some folk choose to ignore all that history and blame a guy with a legit beef.

                It's amazing, really...

Elephant in the room is PBC fanboys will always go against the grain. Just imagine if this is Haymon, instead of Arum. Sadly, nobody can get access to what's going on inside the PBC mystery house; negotiations are not publicized, nobody knows who rejected this and that fight, which I'm sure there were many, and so here we are there's nothing to discuss but non PBC things.

Raise it to 2 million and offer him is what I'd say. That should be enough. If he rejects 2 mil then he doesn't want the fight.

Arum should just gamble on it. Eff it if it's a loss, the fight is in house anyway
