Lennox Lewis most underated chin in HW history

i think so, he took flush shots from Tua,Tyson,Briggs,Bruno,Mercer,Holyfield,Morrison

he only lost when inexperienced and with a **** trainer or under-trained and not focused

i think his chin is very underated

You can crack his chin with a REALLY good punch that lands on the right spot.

Those guys(Tyson never hit him flush, Oldyfield barely but didnt have the same power, dunno about the Duke) didn't hit him enough, and they were unlucky. Cause you can crack this ******* if you catch him like Rahman or Oliver.

not glass, just solid. There's glass chins, solid chins, good chins and granite chins. Lewis had a solid chin.

Not the most underated chin ever, that going a bit far. His chin was often hard to catch, he was a tall fighter with a long reach and he moved and held a lot so catching him was tough.
He was knocked clean out when he did catch some big shots so his chin certainly wasn't too impressive. Without his reach I'd say he'd have been Ko'd many more times.

he only lost when inexperienced and with a **** trainer or under-trained and not focused
That affected his skills more than his chin. A chin is somthing you've either got or you haven't. The poor training or not been focussed just made his defense easier to break and made his chin an easier target - and he was KO'd.

if he saw a punch coming he could take it but he always fought with his mouth open

but the fact that he was as good as he was with an average chin gives me more respect for him not less

Lewis had an average chin. Not great but not terrible. He was only ko'd when he came in unprepared and out of shape.

he was KOd with one punch... twice.... from journeymen and bums (mccall and rahman).

every flush punch hes been hit with, hes either backed off and tried to recoup, or he just stopped throwing and clinched.

no, his chin is not underrated. its as weak as people say it is.

I agree his chin is suspect, getting ko'd in your prime by fighters with questionable skills and power are not the marking's of a good chin. Also, they were one punch ko's and that is unacceptable. His skills usually helped him not to get hit , but everytime that he got hit hard he was out cold. Even in that last fight he was clearly hurt and IMO got lucky that the ref stopped the fight in his favor.
