I feel like Mike is trying to build up the PPV, as he should be, more than he is going to go out there trying to fook up RJJ's day.

Can't be saying you are going to carry your opponent for the rest of the round IF you do hurt him when you expecting folks to pay $50 to watch the fight. At the end of the day this is an exhibition & I suspect both will treat it more like high level sparring than an actual fight.

Would love to be wrong about that doe cuz two 50 something top of the food chain legends going 100% seems a hell of a lot more compelling to watch despite the hit to the legacy all these old timey mfers getting back in the ring feels like.

I think a KO is on Tyson's mind and in his strategy. I'd probably fancy Jones if it went to the cards.

Just hope it's not a sickening KO as the power's still there but the shot resistance isn't. Can see Jones getting iced early or Tyson gassing later. But more likely Jones getting flopped badly, not sure I'll be watching.

EXACTLY.....all Mike & Roy will do is sell this fight to the very best of their promotional ability. Like the CA commission stated, it’s a “hard spar,” at best.

But interestingly enough, Roy said in an interview On YouTube the other day that he preferred NO head gear and 16 oz gloves. His reasoning was the head gear gives Mike more of a target to throw out where without the head gear, if you avoid the shot slightly, it’s more like a glancing blow that has less damage. He said when you spar, even though the head gear protects you, if your sparring with a guy that has hard and powerful punches, the accumulation of those and impact with head gear can be dangerous over time and rounds. It could even be more dangerous from his collective boxing experience and training fighters over many years. And with the 12 ounce gloves they are using, you feel the impact with the punches more than with 16 oz gloves. It’s more of a fist hitting head gear which is accumulative damage. Roy said he expressed that to the commission that he actually would feel safer with 16 oz gloves with NO head gear and they didn’t take his suggestion.

Not so sure it’s being hyped just for hype money sake. Recently Roy has said some disparaging things about Mikes past overall skill set.

Not for nothing, Mike is still a bit nuts, and he sure doesn’t agree with Roy’s assessment.

Roy’s pretty brave or suicidal to go there with those comments - even if it’s just for ‘hype.’ It’s like calling someone who easily gets offended “******” to his face. An offended someone that’ll be more than willing to knock you out if he can.

Here's the deal. Mike has never been known to carry opponents. While on the other hand Roy Jones, Jr has been known to carry his.

I don't know. I believe Mike will carry Roy this time. However the moment that he feels stiffed or showed up by Jones then the old Mike in him will come out.

Someone was showing Mike a clip Roy’s speed on a cell phone when he was asked who’s faster and when he turned around and saw Mike , Mike was Tyson again and said he was going to destroy him and walked away . Not sure you guys understand Mike doesn’t fight lightly it’s not in him no matter who’s saying what .

Personally I expect Mike to go in the WBC rankings as stated should he get that push after this exhibition or whatever it’s called if he does go in there to knockout Roy because that’s what will happen if he does .
