I actually think Loma deserves more than 3 mil, too. They should pay them both well. I like this fight better than anything Smith has done in his whole career, and Smith wants 6 mil?

In terms of marketability, Lopez will be the excitement and driving force of the promotion. Not many care about Loma. He has no appeal outside the ring in the US.

I don't give a fuck about the corrupt belts, but isn't Lopez also a champion of some sort? Wasn't everyone picking Commey? He has done enough and has appeal. Pay the man.

Should they come down? The fee is half decent anyways but in theory Smith could make better money fighting Saunders if you think of money potential.. we also need to remember that Smith is also a title holder so it's not like a nobody asking for the earth...

The other party... Aka Canelo also needs to realise what the crack is to which im sure he does but he clearly doesn't want to drop money even though he's been asked to..

A reported 50/50 split in theory should be easier to sort provided the other party also isn't too greedy..

I think both guys should settle for what seems to be reasonable offers for both fights. Yeah I understand negotiation tactics but as fans we suffer because fighters wanna punch pennies. Fight, win and THEN argue your worth. A career high payday is just that..... CAREER HIGH! If you believe in yourself why not accept the offer and after the win renegotiate a contract.

If I have things correct Smith wants 6 million and Canelo is offering 5 million. I think Smith should make a counter offer of 5.5 million take it or leave it. Lopez has been crying for a title shot so he should take the offer or maybe ask a bit more but not much more. If he is half the fighter he brags he is he should win and make more money in future fights. Anyway I voted yes both of them should lower their demand. Smith by a small amount and Lopez by a lot.

No matter what Smith does outside of knocking Canelo out cold he is not winning the fight, so basically, he is selling his 0 and lineal or whatever he has, so how can someone put a price tag on that? maybe canelo gives up a part of his guarantee. 2.6:1 ratio is bull between loma and teo. lopez can probably pull in ny. loma is a ballroom fighter. stop playing with the purses bob.
