      That's how I feel also.

      Oh well.

Pauli’s said nothing that warranted him being fired. He was just speaking his truth.

Agree with him or not, this is getting ridiculous. People should be allowed to Speak their mind.

The top 3-5 fighters in the world aren’t black, what’s wrong wit his statement?

USYK, Loma, Canelo are Leagues ahead of Any fighter in the sport. Neither is American pie white as well. It’s all Bs and agendas.

Lol I kinda hope so. Paulie is a good commentator.

Hopefully Sky or BT get him over here. He’s worked with both in the past.
paulie has been saying and doing surprising stuff for the last couple of years. but prior to about 2016-17 he was never so obvious or blatant. he has been in the public eye for 20 years so he suddenly couldn't control himself.

i think paulie has been trying to get fired on purpose the since he became popular in the uk. showtime probably had a no compete clause on him so he couldn't quit and go straight to the uk until the contact
was over so he got himself fired

paulie has personal issues with many to most of the black pbc fighters but he actually seems to be friends with many black uk based fighters. he does not believe a black person has the right to disagree with him or should be seen as equal to him

I actually like Paulie. But he should have known better. His mouth finally took him over the edge. Welp. Time for him to figure out life outside boxing anyways.

Paulie didn't seem to know about them in advance and after the commentator explained, Paulie initially says he doesn't want to discuss race.

He then proceeds to say the Eastern Europeans are the dominant "species" at the moment. He talks of how different ethnic groups dominated the fight game in different eras: Irish, Italians & ***s, African Americans and now Eastern European.

IMO, what gets him in trouble is when he says he doesn't think there is racial oppression of blacks right now (using Haney's comments and the lack of blowback as proof) and referring to ethnic groups as "species". I imagine the lack of apology or contrition is what cost him his job.

I don't think he should have lost his job nor did I think Haney should have received blowback for the initial comment. While Malignaggi may be wrong in his assessments, I don't think they were hateful words. The problem is that in today's society, there is very little tolerance for anything that can be mistaken as offensive. I like Paulie as commentator and hope to see him again in the future.
Yeah i think the author quickly edited the article when he realized it had nothing to do with immigration. Very poor journalism. Also, i agree i don’t think the guy should have lost his job, showtime should have just made it clear that they don’t agree with the stuff he was saying. I gotta respect paulie for not putting out a bs apology that he didn’t really mean. At least he stayed true to himself.

The ******** certainly will not agree with you. Political correctness is a scourge but it is what it is. There are many in society who are on board with this nonsense. Either apologize or get fired? What he said does not warrant being terminated.
