All I know is that Showtime is very strict when to comes to character and personal conduct policy. This was the third time that an expert commentator has been fired by them in the past 17 years.

First, it was was Bobby Czyz in 2003, when he pleaded guilty to a DUI charge. Then it was Antonio Tarver for popping dirty for PEDS in 2012 and now Paulie Malignaggi in 2020 for making racist comments.
