When Mike Tyson went to prison, Chavez became the solo star of the mid 80's and early 90's and those dates were reserved exclusively for him. May 5th Weekend and Sept. 16th weekend. The tradition continued with Oscar De La Hoya, Mayweather and now Canelo. The exhibition fight is great and all, but a PPV exhibition fight, over a championship fight? Please. Now if Canelo decided not to fight on that date, let it be. But Chavez Sr is a respectable colleague and understand that it doesn't make sense to have 2 events on the same night and one of them not as relevant as the other one. I ask all of you hard core boxing fans, didn't you feel disrespected that DAZN was playing Diaz vs Jorge Misval UFC on the wait of Canelo vs Kovalev? what a fkn slap on the face. This is what Chavez Sr is talking about respect the boxing world and it's fans.

So?? In the United States, those dates are usually good business in the United States by mentioning Mexican Independence Day. By the way, the WBC IS headquartered in Mexico, the WBA in Panama, and the WBO in Puerto Rico. The three are Run and were founded by Hispanics. Add the fact that the name of the city were they fight, Las Vegas is a Spanish name, given by the Mexican scout Rafael Rivera. So STFU.
