People love to s*** on Frank, but Dubois vs Joyce is miles better than anything Eddie Hearn has done recently.

His only fight anyone would want to watch isn’t happening and your claiming it’s miles better than what Eddie Hearn has done?

Whyte vs Povetkin will sell more ppv - by some distance. You don’t need to look any further than that to be honest.

We need to give both some time post covid to setup some match ups but the cards announced and happening so far aren’t worth tuning on for on BT where as Sky at least have some decent match ups - albeit (Whyte Povetkin ppv a-side) not at the highest level.

As the poster originally pointed out, Warren hasn’t actually “done” the fight has he, and from this article there’s no clear indication it will happen soon.

If you’re talking about “planned” fights, then I can’t possibly see how this is better than AJ-Pulev, Usyk-Chisora and even Povetkin-Whyte?

While interesting, Dubois-Joyce pits two unproven and untested fighters against each other on PPV, where one of them is a 34 year old “exciting prospect” that punches slower than any rated heavyweight I recall witnessing. I’ve got high hopes for Dubois, but let’s not pretend his fight is more substantial and relevant than competitive fights involving established fighters challenging for world title opportunities. If you want to discount PPV sales as an indicator, the rankings and in-ring accomplishments of fighters on the Sky shows will tell you the same thing

It's a fight I'm intrigued in..
Do you expect them to keep active in between Ray?.. say at least another fight after these closed doors? I'd begin to favour D as time went on. I think it'd be a close encounter about now but another 6/8 months plus then I think D could have the edge..

I don't know how Joyce is feeling but he'll be 35 soon and could be closer to 36 time it comes about.. I can't see a title fight available to them anytime over the next 2 years (I may be wrong) even if they went on a run.. even though D will be chomping at the bit, he has plenty of time but going back to Joyce do you think he should stay patient or push through and try muscle in and make noise before the big boys start up?

If this fight is postponed again then I see them taking another interim fight. Boxers would rather stay active against low level opposition in this pandemic than take a massive fight for lower payday during this times. Honestly one day am picking D, then the next am picking Joe 😂 .

I really cannot wait for this fight, reminds me of Joshua/Whyte which was 5 years ago now. It seems british HW are more prepared to take this sort of fights early on in their careers, rather than wait it out. But honestly if I have to pick a winner then I would go with Joe Joyce. He has no choice but to fight DDD now, because DDD would only get better.
