HBO left boxing because subscription based cable TV is shrinking. They need to focus on the products that make the most money.

If DAZN was still $10.00 maybe but asking $20 with such a narrow product line won't do.

PBC can stay alive as long as they maintain fee fights but $90.00 is in the must ****** category.
I actually don't ****** fights. I just watch on Youtube the next day. If they had PPV for each fight and it was £5 I'd pay for a fight I wanted to see.

Personally, I'm glad they picked up Bare Knuckle FC and Major League Wrestling.

It'd be cool if they could get some kickboxing too.

Someone get that man a cigar, he gets it. Worst PR move in the history of boxing. Hearn thought American sports fans would take to him like the event/hooligan on the piss up Blighty fans would

DAZN problem from the get go was bad management, they were throwing money around not only to Canelo but every single fighter like it was candy. I mean when you pay a guy like Mikey Garcia (who is a good fighter but not a draw) 7 million to fight Jesse Vargas, you know your wasting your money, or a guy like Andrade, who can't draw files to sh** with his boring fights, 2,3 million guaranteed, you know your definitely f things up. Canelo and GGG are also overpaid, not because they can't generate that type of money, it's because DAZN doesn't have the structure to justify those contracts. That type of money can only be generated through PPV, not a subscription based service were people are paying $10 or $20 bucks, you would have to have 2 to 3 million subscribers for it to make sense. There's a reason UFC will keep making money through this and that's because of PPV, DAZN is either going to have to set up PPV fights, especially when it comes to Canelo and GGG or simply let those guys go so they could go sign with an actual network (Fox, ESPN, Showtime) that could provide the advertisement, reach, and PPV platform that those type of fighters need, just like the old PPV days. These guys can generate good numbers and money, they just need the platform to do it, and that's were DAZN falls well short of, because in the end it's just an app not a network.

" Any plan will be subject to approval by Len Blavatnik, who is also the source of DAZN's financing.

Blavatnik has been reported by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index as being worth approximately $25 billion. He has funded DAZN from its inception, having invested well over one billion dollars in the enterprise. Midway through 2019, there was industry talk that he was unwilling to put any more of his own money into DAZN. On October 24, Bloomberg.com reported that Goldman Sachs was trying to raise $500 million in private investment on DAZN's behalf. In November, the ante was upped to one billion dollars. The fundraising effort was unsuccessful.

All indications are that Blavatnik has now committed to putting more money into DAZN. He's wealthy and ambitious enough to stay the course a while longer. Let's not forget; he's wealthier than Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta (who build UFC into a colossus) ever were.

That said; the numbers for DAZN only add up (for the short term, at least) as long as Blavatnik is willing to keep losing money. And billionaires don't like throwing good money after bad. They throw good money after good. That's one of the reasons they're billionaires. To date (like the institutional investors in Premier Boxing Champions), Blavatnick hasn't gotten his money's worth out of DAZN."

So...Blavatnik is less of a money mark than Tony Khan. Well that's good

But they got that strategy from Top Rank. Since Crawford gets a guaranteed $3 million no matter who he fights, and he can't draw either.

Thomas Hauser just shit all over Golden Boy's card and the upcoming Hearn cards.

But why hasn't he shit on Bob Arum's terrible cards with terrible ratings over on ESPN?

It's so obvious that the guy is a Top Rank shill who acts as their media mouthpiece. Shameful to see this corruption and conflict of interest being allowed to go on.
