Do you box? Have you ever sparred a dude with the intention to make him respect you, or make a statement?
WAR Tyson!!!! WAR RJJ!!!!
Can't wait to see them back in the ring, where the lights shine brightest....
To quench your curiosity I have done a lot of sparring in my day. With seasoned amateur and a couple of pros. Some of the sparring sessions were more for learning (I was a USA Boxing coach) and some were more spirited where neither of us held back.
The last thing to go on a fighter is their punch. This is a risky fight for both men, especially Jones who has been brutally KO'd by far lesser punchers than Tyson.

Just like some sparring sessions are instructional, others may be gym wars, no holding back. Here though, this isn't Floyd vs some MMA fighter. This is two former champs with pride, fit, and competing in the same sport both are masters of.
That is what kills me about all of this. People hear exhibition and they just assume it won't be a real fight. That's ignorant and impossible to determine prior to the fight itself. And as I've said before, real fighters, athletes, and competitors, they don't take it easy, they compete. And you know this to be true. I expect both to bring it and I think that is the most reasonable expectation for people like you and I.
