PBC thinks people will pay to watch better fights. They’re wrong.

The cards they’re announcing are clearly way above the quality of ESPN’s current cards.

BUT, they’re all going to be on PPV to make up for the lack of a live gate.

It’ll backfire and all these shows will fail.

Bad decision if we are still living in the covid19 era when it's fight week. Deciding between necessities or the Tank fight isn't gonna be a tough decision for many.

If they drastic lower the PPV price maybe I'd have to alter my opinion but I don't believe they'd do that.

I'm sure they'll still crack 200k, which seems to be the floor

Well, I'll pay for it. Thats two potential Main event in one card but they are generous enough to put it in one.

Why are you predicting failure? If the cards are good, as you posted, and you don't know the price, why are you so sure they will flop?

Are you really a boxing fan at all?

Define fail? And getting PPV revenue here will make up for the lack of gate. Also, I doubt SHO is guaranteeing the entire purses of all the fighters. I'm sure PBC will pay a portion of it so not sure how they "fail."

But the UFC is not lowering the PPV prices and are still doing fine. I don't get the lowering the price argument to be honest. At least not from $75 to say $40. Because if you are paying $40 dollars for it, you will likely pay $75 for it. Now, if they go from say $75 to $20? That is different but don't think that would be smart on their part.

Someone usually uploads the fights on YouTube as soon as they are over. I’ll save my money for 40z and bbq instead. That way I can enjoy my drank and fights at the same time. Ya dig? Cheea!

The bold: I don't think so.

If the price is right (let's say $40 or 50), then many fans who are stuck inside would buy the fights they like. Free streaming to all fights is there as an option too.
