Valdez is funny. Floyd should let Davis loose on his ass. BS article brought to you by the biggest Floyd hater. Carry on.Comment

Who wrote that biased nonsense? The fighters he "cherry picked" towards the end would've likely beaten anyone else in their divisions the nights they fought Floyd.Comment

Caught Hernandez in his last fight before retirement. Got a gift versus Castillo. Gatti was a C-rate fighter—those were Floyd’s words. Manny injured, Mosely old, Canelo green.130-Genero was lineal...Corrales was p4p top 10 and #2 in the division
135-Castillo was lineal champ and #1 at 135
140-Gatti was the #1 contender
147-Manny was #2 ww and #2 p4p Mosley was the p4p#3 and top 3 ww
154-Canelo was ring champ and p4p top 10..Cotto was a top3 boxer when Floyd beat him..Oscar was also top 5Comment

Mayweather ushered this new way of thinking that the undefeated record is the most important thing in the world. As a result, fighters who've taken a loss, or two, end up getting discarded or written off never to appear on primetime again. This in turn causes other boxers to go into protection mode throughout their career.
It's because of this mindset that MMA has now surpassed boxing. Just last week, there was an MMA headliner between fighters who had records 16-1 vs. 35-13 and sold 1.3 M buys.
That could never happen in boxing today. The only way a fight sells now is if two fighters are undefeated and champions, regardless if they're actually the best fighters. I think Mayweather has to take blame for that.Comment

That can be gathered for every boxer. I can make a great dud list for your lovers Golovkin and Lomachenko.Comment

Not true. Look at British bum Campbell and how many chances he's being given without proving anything in a decade as a pro boxer.Mayweather ushered this new way of thinking that the undefeated record is the most important thing in the world. Unless, there's another reason, which makes more sense to me (he's white and corrupt Hearn corrupts the crooked alphabet belts even more).Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 07-20-2020, 07:58 PM.Comment
