That and he's thrown a more variety of combinations showing more dimensions to his game. Still worried about him fading late in fights . Both those fights would be great also with Burns or Fortuna. After one of those fights we should have a better understanding on how he would match up VS. the top of the division.

Verdejo beats your favorites @ 35, gradually.
That's a fact.
See my thoughts like two or three threads about him prior.
Again, getting past one or some of the Fortuna, Gamboa, Burns, Walsh, Fonseca, Gesta type next would be ideal.
Then, one the younger, stronger Tanajara, Commey, Nakatani, Haney (who may be a level above and included with the following type) type,
but any of the above before the Lomachenko, Lopez, Davis? type.
Put any prior, or current, bias that you might have of him aside, and it's pretty easy to believe that the potential Verdejo that he has been/is expected to be and that he is held to, beats arguably everyone I just mentioned at their best - Lomachenko being the only definitive task.
Ryan Garcia would probably agree with me.
Edit** I expect he'll entertain the idea of 40 at some point, if not outgrow 35 and make his way up no matter - his frame suggests he'll probably be up at 154 one day (at least)Last edited by CPLVS; 07-17-2020, 01:01 PM.Comment

I definitely noticed the Killer Instinct that Verdejo showed,, this Focused Version of him could beat any active 135 lber Today, if Felix comes with the correct strategy.Comment

Verdejo looked really good. I would have liked to see the fight last a lot longer to be able to judge how he performs down the stretch, but he showed power, speed and a sharp killer instinct.Comment

El Bori Bori is back, Coqui!
Felix Verdejo is improving with Ismael Salas, that is definitely. Diamante demonstrate he is mean in the ring against a undefeated tricky and technical boxer in Will Madera.Comment
