      6 for me

Shouldn't have lost the 1st time but flukes happens.
He should have went for the KO. That would have impressed me.

I gave it a 6. Ruiz is a solid but not elite opponent. The main thing with that win is that AJ showed mental fortitude, fight IQ and discipline/professionalism. He was humiliated in the first fight, but took the immediate rematch, slimmed down and had an entirely different approach the second time, which allowed him to box a near shutout against the same guy that battered him just a few months earlier. Remember a lot of people were saying Ruiz just had AJs number too and that the rematch was going to end him for good.

              I put a 7.
Mainly because he immediately rematched and had to change his style entirely to get the belts back and won very wide.

I hate comparisons between Joshua and Fury, but for the sake of backing up my point; there are major similarities between Ruiz 2 and Wilder 2. Fury changed his style after getting put on his ass, Joshua changed his style after getting splattered all over NYC - both nullified their respect opponents offensive weapons to get the belt(s).

If you respect one, you have to respect the other.

                10. He won 12 -0 in rounds. Only haters call it running.

                    6. He beat a guy who beat him up so you have to give him credit for that, but he completely avoided all exchanges. That's why I as looking forward to the Pulev fight, to see how Joshua would fight from here on.
