Crooked is the word to describe all the alphabet bodies. Real fans know who is who. I don't acknowledge any belts or website rankings.

I dont even think it makes sense to pay attention to titles anymore. I just assume everyone on TV has a title now, so I dont distinguish between "boxers" based on titles anymore. It's not really a sport or competition anymore anyway because all of the best boxers are in different leagues and rarely compete against each other. So it's more like a movie or a theater show where every theater company puts on their own plays, and it's for entertainment but there is no competitive element where one is facing off against the others.
But I dont really watch "boxing" much anymore anyway, for this and many other reasons. Im just saying titles are irrelevant now and I assume everyone has one so there's no reason to pay attention to who has a title or who doesn't. Just watch the performers you like watching for the entertainment, or don't watch at all, but it's pointless paying attention to who has titles or what the rankings are because it's all just made up anyway since it never gets decided in the ring anymore anyway.
Even the top 5 P4P fighters of the entire era by and large never faced all the other top guys in even a single division they were their entire careers, let alone the ones below them, so it really isn't a sport in that sense and therefore it's pointless paying attention to made up rankings and titles.

Mendoza is doing his best to lie through his teeth and justify why he loves making money so much off of pointless interim, gold, super and regular Bullshyt titles. WBA been talking about getting rid of all the titles and making 1 Champion for like 3 years now,, the money keeps on rolling in so they are continuing to make excuses like A Diseased Germ

The same fan [who complains], if he knows there is a title at stake, they are more attentive [to the fight]."

No other relevant party in the sport cares about them
WBA is a Haymon outfit. WBC is an outfit for whoever pays. WBO is a Arum/Warren outfit
I think it is the worst part of the sport. Places like Boxingscene do not help by accepting money from these places, and shamelessly plugging the IBO into so many articles

I've read all the above and agree entirely which is why I don't watch boxing on tv anymore , I find it quite embarrassing when someone is announced as "world champion " and they are club fighters .. I mean no disrespect to rocky fielding or Anthony crolla but world champions ? No chance .. you see I always thought the clue were in the name .. and what about when the organisation mention a boxer as part of the "family " ? Try telling that to some people like the man who ended up having a stroke after poor medical care against mike Perez afew yrs ago .. no it's all about vultures circuling the money pit ....Last edited by Buggy bear; 07-16-2020, 02:43 AM.

It's really affecting ground roots titles. Here in the UK years ago area title's such as Scottish, Welsh, Southern, Midland ETC really meant something & British, European & Commonwealth title's were a major goal. Now the aim seems to be an alphabet continental, inter-continental, international, interim bauble!!.
