You guys are looking at this backwards.

This is about Hearns, NOT FLOYD.

Hearns was a flawed fighter if he couldn't you out of there by round 6. Yes, he won decisions against fighters, but his core was rounds 1-4 easily.

Floyd Mayweather is and was, always has been, the master against guys who come out aggressive.

Hearns' lankiness wouldn't mean a damn thing - as Floyd/Corrales taught us.

Ray Leonard would not engage the same way Manny Pacquiao didn't engage, and for the same reason - Floyd would catch him with some shots and make Ray more guarded about throwing freely against him.

"smaller guy" don't mean a damn thing when skills are front and center.

"puncher" doesn't mean a damn thing when skills are front and center.

STOP TALKING ABOUT PUNCHERS AND POWER AND KNOCKOUTS. It is NOT the only way to win a fight FFS~!

I'm definitely fine in replacing Hagler with Benitez in these comparisons.

Floyd doesn't beat Buchanan, forget fighting greats at Welterweight and Middleweight.

All these people picking Floyd to beat Duran at 147, please tell me what you saw from Duran in the Palomino fight that's got you thinking Floyd has a chance.

Floyd would school Buchanan, different level easy fight.

Who says what Duran turns up, fighters less than Floyd beat Duran that means its entirely possible Floyd beats Duran or any of the others, they were all beaten its not impossible for the fights to go either way.

Mythical match ups in reality dont always match the very best on the same night, often a guy is in the zone and the other just out of it, guess who wins.

People stomping their feet say this or that is a roll of the dice in the real world, never write of truly great fighters.

There are several fighters that could compete against those guys, not just Floyd. He is just the one that stand out far ahead of the rest these past few decades.

They were amazing fighters but at the same time amazing fighters come up every so many years as well.

The bottom line truth is that it would be extremely difficult for anyone to beat a prime Floyd Mayweather. Hate it or love it the dude is world class in practically every department aside from power (still respectable), which is likely so he would not compromise defense.

In that case Camacho (the version that couldn't put down the hoagie, no less) and Iran Barkley are also as skilled as the Fab Four.

Easy Floyd is a class above him, where did you pull Ken outa your ass lol, Kens claim to fame was being stopped by Duran, domestic level guy who really didnt beat anyone like the company we discussing here, be like saying Hector Thomson would beat Floyd because Duran said it was hardest he ever been hit to the body, and Thompson killed two or three fighters in the ring.

There are classes in boxing and those guys are not in Floyds class.
