I will always appreciate David for what he was - a 168lber boiled down to 160 whose punch could near decapitate his opponent provided they stood in front and traded with him.

His destruction of the smaller Stevens and O'Sullivan were truly violent displays.

He fought at LHW and SMW for the most of his career.

He's a better puncher and that's it. Ryder went close with Saunders, outboxed Smith on the outside despite being much shorter. Lemiuex has had hes head boxed off against anyone decent at title level. He won't even touch Canelo. This fight is awful.

He may have fought at those weights but dude is 5'7" and he looked smaller than David in that fight. As I recall Lemieux didn't bother weighing in the morning before the fight which would indicate he probably gained a significant amount after the official weigh in the day before.
