White supremacy is so ingrained n American society, even a lot of black people are subconsciously turned off and afraid of blacks who are arrogant/****y who do what they want with no fks given. A lot of blacks didn’t like ali during his time, even some of his peers in the sport.

Have already made the point about Conor. So that’s muted really. Not questioning who they both fought last. My point is still the same. If you think Mayweather cherrypicked then the same sure must apply to Pacman. And again am not going to disrespect Pac by picking his resume apart to prove he cherrypicked. Every champion can not fight killers in every fight. Don’t expect Fury, Canelo to fight killers in every fight.Comment

I wish people would prove their points on boxing forums without running straight to race/colour, or calling people racist and Uncle Toms. It’s just disheartening when you trying to have a boxing discussion and that gets brought in as a Segway.Comment

While I feel Floyd would beat Manny 100 times out of 100, when all is said and done, Manny MIGHT have the career edge on Floyd when really put everything on the table.
Floyd by far is the richest fighter to ever live and unfortunately THAT will be more of the hat he'll wear as the years go on. That's no knock to Floyd either, he admits he played the "Boxing Game" better than anyone. He's almost grossed $1 Billion as a prize fighter and has broken records that I don't feel will ever be broken at the Box Office. But in the ring, while the pundits such as ourselves will hold Floyd on a pedestal, Manny's story just captures more of the General Public's imagination. We WILL NEVER in our lifetime see a fighter go from 112 to 154lbs winning World Titles and becoming a PPV Star who's also a foreigner. Let me also add Manny JUST won a legit Welterweight title from the longest standing Champion of the younger generation (Thurman) at 41.
Both guys are sure shot HOF and ATGs so all of this is really subjective. I'm looking at it from the perspective of someone YEARS from now who knows nothing about either guy and sees their "In Ring" story. Manny's to me seems like the more fascinating one but it unfortunately gets misconstrued as hate for Floyd which is not the case at all. You can also make a case for Floyd too. It's all perspective.Last edited by RL_GMA; 07-15-2020, 01:39 PM.Comment

At 135 and up, "Manny fought everybody" on MORE than his own terms. Or are we playing revisionist history and saying that DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, etc weren't coming into the fight drained, shot, or coming off a humiliating loss/beating?
Buddy must be still bitter over that embarrassing night in Atlantic City, where his training "expertise" came up with the gameplan for Arturo Gatti to try and... outbox Floyd Mayweather Jr.Comment
